Hi Friends, I'm new to Drachenfest and have an infinity of questions. First question: Is there a place for people who only have modern camping gear? If so, is it separate from the other camps or does each camp have their own "modern" section?
Second question: I hear there's an unofficial discord, could i get a link?

The answer to your first question is both. If you have modern camping gear you can still setup within your camp. Each camp is in charge of its own layout and arrangement, and generally what is done is that the modern camping equipment is assigned to a spot that is not conspicuous and is out of the way. Generally this is to the rear of the camp, but may vary from camp to camp. The person who is in charge of this and who would be the best person to guide you in this would be the Camp Coordinator of your camp. When you choose a camp you should be directed to that person.
The is also a space outside of the camps near the Bazaar where modern tenting is placed if you would like to take advantage of that. Again, your Camp Coordinator can help you with information about that.
