Hello good people! Time for another intro!
Me:
My name is Niklas. I've been LARPing consistently since 2003. The majority of that time was foam-and-pvc math-in-the-woods gaming including the game I was co-runner/owner of for many years: Shards of Maassagon. I have great memories of that play, but I've come very much to appreciate the freedom and natural nuance that comes from emergent play-to-lift mechanisms espoused by the runners of DF.
Owing largely to the accepting and inclusive nature of the Drachenfest community, I've had the opportunity to explore some of the areas of my life that I've never felt comfortable doing, and to continue to push those internal limits developed from years of reinforced bad habits and desire to protect my creativity. I think the value that this method of play offers is a huge boon to the US LARP scene, and am proud to represent part of that as a player, along with my life partner @Renée |L'Grande Arbiter Charlise de Gransvert (s/h) .
Character
In Drachenfest, I'm playing Blackwood Flynn. They are an import from D&D, (for the stats geeks: a gestalt Rogue arcane trickster, fighter elven bladesinger fey'ri. talk about utility!) As expected he's a bit of a scamp, miscreant, and hedonist. He was called by the Dragons to come and represent the Red School of Magic and embody drive, willpower, and tenacity in the Guild of the Dragons, the Mages Guild, The Lyceum Arcanorum, but what he really needs is a friend 😄
I shall not be restrained!

Happy to see you all this year!
Hello Niklas, I look forward to gaining knowledge of magic from you! My character is also from D&D, Fearun, a human sorcerer, and former dragon cultist. Not sure if I'm completely understanding good faith bad actor, but she tends to do things others might question out of a desire to do good.
