The Drake Academy

Daily Adventures for Kids 10-15 Years

Drake Academy is our immersive in-game youth program featuring unique quests, basic roleplay/combat training, and exciting adventures which teach Academy students about the world of DrachenFest and LARP in a safe, fun way. Child Welfare Officers supervise Drake Academy attendees 10am–6pm, Wed–Sat, freeing parents to explore the event during the day. Snacks and in-game props are provided, but parents will need to send their youth with a packed lunch.

Youth attendees must be supervised by a guardian at all times outside of Drake Academy participation.

What is The Drake Academy?

The Drake Academy is an in-game school for young heroes set within the vast realm of Drachenfest, enabling parents to experience daytime hours of battles and sieges knowing their child is safe and fully involved in the stories and fun of DrachenFest!

The Academy carefully crafts adventures that incorporates training in combat, magic, alchemy, roleplaying and improv skills, and more. This LARP-within-a-LARP offers art, learning activities, unique quests, and tiered experiences, allowing participants to grow each year until they’re ready to graduate into the Drachenfest proper at age 16. Imagine sharing tales of your heroic exploits while your child regales you with their own! In fact, we've been told no one sees and does as much of the festival as the kids in the Academy!
